Hi everyone, this is POKEPATH.IO. In this article, we're introducing the best team lineups in PokéPath. I'm planning to cover this series in three articles, and this one is Part 1.

Beginner Tips (Read This First)

If your goal is a no-damage clear, the key prerequisites are:

  • Unlock all 10 Pokémon slots first.

  • Level the required Pokémon up to Lv. 100 as much as possible.

  • Only after that should you start attempting the final boss of each route.

  • Note: The PokéPath TD Best Teams series is based on version 1.2.7 of PokéPath TD.

    Navigation

    1-1 No-Damage Best Team
    Route 1-1 No-Damage Team Setup

As you can see in the pic, Route 1-1 is relatively simple. This guide demonstrates a setup that uses only 9 Pokémon to comfortably defeat ARTICUNO and achieve a no-damage clear from Wave 1 to Wave 100. No repositioning is required.

    Team Roster and Roles

    • EXCADRILL – The main AOE DPS for open-ground tiles.

    • GRUMPIG – Used to remove/break invisibility.

    • CORSOLA – Core AOE slow support, and it can also break invisibility through AOE splash damage.

    • PIDGEOT – A secondary DPS for mountain tiles.

    • OMASTAR + DITTO (copying OMASTAR) – The main AOE DPS for water tiles.

    • NOIVERN + ABSOL – Secondary DPS for open-ground tiles. Due to the terrain layout on this map, NOIVERN's single-target damage is extremely high here, and it provides the highest DPS against ARTICUNO in this setup.

    • CHARIZARD – A secondary DPS for open-ground tiles.

    1-2 No-Damage Best Team
    Route 1-2 No-Damage Team Setup

As shown in the screenshot, Route 1-2 is a great map for SUNFLORA. Because SUNFLORA can buff up to four Pokémon here, this lineup is built around taking full advantage of that damage boost.

    Team Roster and Roles

    • EXCADRILL + DITTO (copying EXCADRILL) – Your main AOE damage core. Place them in the primary damage position.

    • PIDGEOT + FLYGON + AGGRON – Secondary DPS for mountain tiles. AGGRON provides AOE damage, while PIDGEOT and FLYGON focus on single-target damage.

    • CORSOLA – Core AOE slow support, and it can also break invisibility through AOE splash damage.

    • HONCHKROW – Used to clear invisible enemies. You can replace it with GRUMPIG or any similar anti-invisibility Pokémon.

    • CHARIZARD – A secondary DPS for open-ground tiles. You can replace it with other strong single-target DPS options such as MACHAMP or WEAVILE.

    • SUNFLORA – Provides a team damage buff—place it exactly as shown in the image to maximize how many Pokémon receive the boost.

    • NOIVERN – Your main single-target DPS for open-ground tiles. Due to the terrain layout on this map, NOIVERN's single-target damage is extremely high here, and it delivers the highest DPS against ZAPDOS in this setup.

    1-3 No-Damage Best Team
Route 1-3 No-Damage Team Before Moltres

No-Damage Team Before MOLTRES (Wave 1-99)

    • MARACTUS + DITTO (copying MARACTUS) – Main AOE DPS. Put them in your primary damage position.

    • CORSOLA – Core damage-reduction AOE, and it can also break invisibility through AOE splash damage.

    • WEEZING + NOIVERN – Secondary DPS for open-ground tiles.

    • PIDGEOT + FLYGON – Secondary DPS for mountain tiles.

    • LILLIGANT – Secondary DPS for grass tiles.

    • WHIMSICOTT – A healing Pokémon that increases your margin for error.

    • CLAWITZER – Secondary DPS for water tiles. Since there isn't a better damage option for water here, this Pokémon is used as a practical fill-in.

This lineup can achieve a no-damage run before MOLTRES, except for Wave 99:

Important Note for Wave 99: On Wave 99, after enemies move out of range, you must manually reposition PIDGEOT and FLYGON to the high mountain on the right. Otherwise, you may leak one or two enemies.
Route 1-3 No-Damage Team for Moltres

No-Damage MOLTRES Team (No Reposition Required)

    • ABSOL + DITTO (copying ABSOL) – Main single-target DPS. Place them in your primary damage position.

    • CORSOLA – Core damage-reduction AOE.

    • PIDGEOT + FLYGON – Secondary DPS for mountain tiles.

    • SCEPTILE – Secondary DPS for grass tiles.

    • NOIVERN + SPINDA + WEAVILE – Secondary DPS for open-ground tiles.

    • CLAWITZER – Secondary DPS for water tiles.

Substitution Tip: If you don't have WEAVILE, you can replace it with CHARIZARD (or any other strong single-target DPS Pokémon). The role is the same, and the overall performance remains essentially unchanged.

This is the best lineup for defeating MOLTRES: it requires no repositioning, and you can clear the boss easily and safely.
